Following the success of two events in the Florida Keys, USA Today bestselling author Nicholas Harvey and his wife, Cheryl, are inviting a small group of readers and divers to Grand Cayman for a week of diving, conversation and good company.

 

The idea is simple: dive the real reefs and wrecks that appear in Nick’s AJ Bailey Adventure novels, meet the people behind them, and have a thoroughly enjoyable week doing it. We'll be diving with Divetech and Indigo Divers to accommodate everyone for morning 2-tank trips, plus we'll have group shore dives and other activities (including a Cayman Spirits rum factory tour!)

The 2027 event, "Legends of the Cayman Islands", runs from Saturday 15 May to Saturday 22 May, with places for a maximum of 18 diving guests. We've reserved a block of rooms at Cobalt Coast Resort, where Divetech has a shop, plus easy access shore dives.

Our major partners from previous years are all back on board, and a couple of new ones are joining the family too.

Weather and sea conditions permitting, we will dive as many of the sites mentioned in the novels as we can. Guides are provided on every dive, and each boat trip follows the usual pattern of a deeper dive followed by a shallow one. The first day’s shore dive at Cobalt Coast gives everyone a low-stress chance to check their gear and shake off any rust before the boat diving begins.

All divers will be entered into a raffle drawn at our Sunday lunch event, with a prize for everyone! We're talking Shearwater dive computer, Dive Rite gear, Seven Fathoms rum, Reef Smart dive guide books,  and much more...
